What is the Cure for My Soul
A life transformation and soul cure (healing) come about when your mind changes. Joyce Meyer said, the mind is the battlefield, but I cry the soul is the battlefield because its playground is grander than just the mind. Since the soul consists of the mind, will, and emotions—it must be renewed.
Romans 12:2 speaks of how the renewing of your mind must transform you, and this is what Cure 4 the Soul is all about.
I created this ministry to help you cure the soul, which involves changing your thinking. If you fail to fill your mind with God’s thoughts (His Word), your soul cannot heal. Your heart is also a massive part of this soul equation, and we need a clean heart before the Lord.
You must work the Word of God by reading it, gaining an understanding of it through studying, and doing what I call soul work. For many years I’ve invested much time in my soul work and I’ve been blessed to see the power of God strip many strongholds from my soul.
It’s time to re-prioritize your life! Live life on purpose.
I created this Dream Big Goal Setting Guide to help you identify your purpose and set goals God’s way. Download this workbook for FREE.
Cure 4 the Soul is more significant than LaTanya Quinn. I’m operating in obedience by using the gifts and talents I have to lay the foundation for a broader vision. This ministry cannot grow without a squad, and I give of myself to build stronger in Christ to carry out His will.
All that flows from C4tS is for the ultimate glory of Jesus Christ. Your soul is at stake. The devil is okay with your salvation as long as he can ravage your soul.
Soul Goals
My goal is to teach you how to discern Biblical truth from lies and light from the darkness. Our mission is to move Believers beyond elementary teachings of the gospel and into spiritual maturity.
John 8:32 NKJV says, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
The scripture explains how your freedom rests in knowing God’s truth. It’s not your truth that sets you free, but it’s God’s truth. Jesus’ mind in you is how you change your thoughts and move closer to freedom.
Why do you need to be free?
Genesis 3:3-4 NKJV says, but the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die. Then the serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die.
When Adam ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, death passed on him, and his days on earth expired. The action of disobedience and eating of the fruit caused Adam to be fearful, ashamed, and hide from God.
The following passages in the chapter go on to share additional details, and in verse 6, we see where Eve gave her husband the fruit.
If you’re an unbeliever, you need to be free from the original sin passed on through Adam’s disobedience.
God created man in His image, but you are the likeness of Adam (Genesis 5:3). Since sin passed from Adam, this means the seed of Abraham was contaminated too; thus, Jews can’t even escape the judgment of sin. Abraham was not born righteous. He became righteous by faith and believing God.
Sin and your spirit
Sin is separation from God. If you have yet to repent of the original sin, you are what I call walking dead. You appear alive to the natural eye, but to God, you are separated from Him and are dead both in this life and eternally. You can’t change this on your own, and you must repent and turn to Jesus by faith to be saved by His grace.
Romans 5:12 KJV says, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

You need the kind of freedom found in Christ alone; He is the final sacrifice for sin, the perfect Lamb, and the only mediator between you and God the Father. Some Bible translations say Jesus atoned for our sins, but He did more than atone for our sins, He’s the propitiation— which is the appeasement and satisfaction.
The wages of sin is death (Romans 3:23), and only Jesus can free you from the eternal punishment of sin, which leads to Hell. He paid the cost once and for all.
The emphasis on your soul
I talk about your soul because it’s where your mind, will, and emotions reside. The seat of the soul is where you find your heart, conscious and subconscious mind, and personality.
The soul is where the devil and demons set up booby traps and plant unclean, negative, and evil thoughts designed to harm you.
When you get born again, the Holy Spirit immediately takes up residence in your spirit and makes it alive (no more walking dead). However, the soul is to go through a renovation.
The renewal process takes place when you decide to surrender to God fully. The willingness to surrender and allow the Holy Spirits’ power to overflow into your soul is a decision. The soul work then follows.
Soul Issues
Here is a shortlist of strongholds you may still struggle with as a Christian:
- Trauma from the past (abuse of any form)
- Abandonment Issues
- Sexual Sin/Lust (pornography, fornication, adultery, homosexuality)
- Idol Worship (anything you place before God)
- Depression and Suicidal Thoughts
- Fear, Anxiety, and Insecurity
- Anger/Rage
- Complaining
- Jealousy and Covetousness
- Poor decision making (finances, relationships, friends, substance abuse)
- Double-mindedness

Soul Freedom
If you don’t do your part, you will find it challenging to walk the Christian walk. The soul issues I listed above will not go away on their own.
For instance, God freed the Israelites from the bondage of 400 years of slavery in Egypt. However, an entire generation died in the wilderness within 40 years because they refused to be led by God to the Promised Land.
They were set free, but they remained prisoners in their souls. They didn’t fully trust God; they didn’t have the faith of Joshua and Caleb.
Joshua and Caleb leaned in and trusted God fully. By faith, they were ready to possess the land. God put His mind in us, but it’s up to us to abide in Him, pursue it, feast off it, and grow into it.
Since the Israelites didn’t trust God, it means they were double-minded.
It’s time for you to make a clear-cut decision. Do you want to follow Baal (the worldly system) or Jesus Christ? If you’re going to follow Jesus, make it known, and declare it through your lifestyle. Don’t be like the Israelites that die off without possessing the promise.
Time is over to continue faltering between two sides.
1 Kings 18:21 NKJV says, And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.
What will your response be to the double-mindedness?
Spiritual growth
I am still learning and advancing myself, but I am way past the gospel’s elementary teachings and consider myself a mature Believer. I don’t say this to brag or boast as that is prideful and immature, but moving into Christian maturity is serious business to God.
Whatever is essential to God is to be the same for you. As a child advances in age, so does the child’s physical and mental development. You expect advancement when a child is growing. When you become a Believer, you start as a babe in Christ then grow up.
Nonetheless, I realize many professing Christians don’t want to surrender and do the will of the Father. If what other teachers or I share does not feed their flesh and selfish pleasures, it’s of no value to them. Feeding their flesh as opposed to their spirit is the reason they aren’t growing or bearing fruit.

Examine Your Soul
Cure 4 the Soul is NOT an extension of the Prosperity or Charismatic movement, so there will be no ear-tickling, flesh gratifying, or emotionalism.
If I share something that causes you to shout, that’s purely the Holy Spirit’s work, not my attempt at designing a message to cater to your feelings.
I pray that you examine yourself to see if you are in the faith if you are a professing Christian and are unwilling to surrender your life to God wholeheartedly,
Naturally, there will be seasons when you are not interested in God’s Word, but it’s unnatural to stay there if you are truly born-again. There may be days when you miss your reading of the Word and prayer, but you should not stay there.
Attending church on Sunday is not the same as spending dedicated time with God daily to know Him and develop in your own time.
In Conclusion
Your decision to let God be Lord in your life is your catalyst to your soul healing. Please get to know how valuable you are. Find your voice and stand all the way up in your God-given identity. Avow the Lord’s name from the rooftop. Operate in your purpose, my friend.
If you are a Christian and lack the desire to feast from the Bread of Life, Jesus the Christ, this should concern you. Too many Christians claim to love others but are too afraid to share the truth with them in love. My goal is to share the facts with you for your benefit.
